There is extra smile in the face of producer KA Suresh of ‘Eradane Madhuve’ and ‘Govindayanamaha’. That is because of his third film ‘Shravani Subramani’ combination – Ganesh and Amoolya.

A working producer truly Suresh has already god tremendous offers from distributors and television channels are inquiring on the rights.

On the day ‘Govindayanamaha’ was telecast in Zee Kannada channel completing all squabbles, Suresh, producer of the film was speaking to media persons at Mysore in Chikkalli on the sets of his third film ‘SS’.

Everything has been sorted out. Complaints have been taken back. This film taught me more points in the business angle. I have decided not to give ‘SS’ to any distributor. For ‘Govindayanamaha’ a portion was for Komal Kumar and another distributor acquired the rights. I kept a few areas in my hand. According to one calculation the business in 100 days is around Rs.8 to 10 crores – Suresh is not ready to accept at first. It has collected around 5 to 6 crores he explained. When persisted of all put together he agreed on the figures quoted. For my investment, same amount has come as profit he admitted.

Why Suresh is truly a working producer? He looks at the drop of every issue on the sets. Like Dinesh Baboo or S Narayan who commence shoot early in the morning – this producer is present on the sets from morning 6 am and he is the last person to reach home after shoot. As actress Amoolya put it rightly – ‘Kelsa Illade Idru producer was on the spot all the time’.

Quoting one of the examples from his experience Suresh explains – for the preparation of around 10 kilos of non vegetarian, I saw the bill of Rs.400 for ‘Kotthambari Soppu’ (coriander leaves). This has shocked me because the product was very cheap at that time in the market. Even for 1000 kilo of meat so much of Kottambari Soppu is not needed!

How to control the pilferage? I applied the principle of hiring a cook team for my film. The preparations are made on the spot. They are good in quality and those who believe me, I believe them is my principles. I am serving without ‘Soda’ hygienic food now and excess cost is also cut down. There are a few instances that are shocking but we have become part of it he lamented.

Further Suresh says he is up to making films with different actors and different subjects. Is he going to make another film with Komal Kumar and it is a talking term now with the actor was the question.
